The trick: 
1 - have the ape "remember" the "previously displayed sequence" by letting him press the numbers in the screen (each mumber is erased once it's pressed).
2 - have the screen display the sequence in which the ape pressed the screen as the "sequence that must be remembered".
Now put together 1 and 2 but in the REVERSED order.

Same trick is used to rig the lottery "drawings" on TV.
The only difference: it's the computer not the ape that executes the first step. Unlike the ape the computer's choice is not random.
The computer is interested only in the combinations that the human cattle didn't bet on.

Prestidigitators v Illuminati: how they perform the same trick
Contrast how they divert the audience from the real sequence. 
Magicians are not only observed live but the audience also tries to detect the trick from the beginning of the sequence.
On the other hand the real trick of the illuminati was to reduce the audience to human cattle, having it believe NOT ONLY that what they see in their TV sets is NOT the same type of magic but AS WELL that it's NOT performed behind closed doors.
